Rentals save you money, time and storage space!  In a time when the economy is fluctuating it just makes sense to rent.  Whether you need some extra tables for a garage sale, a family dinner, or having a meeting at your office and need tables and linens, a stage, or specialty items such as indoor/outdoor sign stands, coat racks, easels, chairs or stanchions, renting makes sense.  If you don't use it all the time, buying it for a once a year occasion and then finding storage for those items doesn't always make sense.
